What Makes ANCHOR Different?
Unlike traditional social skills groups, ANCHOR focuses on the whole child.
Children don’t learn best by memorizing scripts or being told what to say. They learn through authentic experiences, shared successes, problem-solving together, and feeling safe enough to be themselves.
Each session combines movement, sensory experiences, cooperative games, hands-on activities, and guided peer interactions to naturally develop skills that carry over into everyday life.
Our goal is to help children better understand themselves, build confidence, and develop tools that help them thrive.

Hi! We’re Stephanie and Amanda. (And that’s Dash and Koda, our furry sidekicks!)
First, we’re so glad you’re here.
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re looking for a place where your child feels understood andnot judged. A place where they can build confidence, make genuine friendships, and simply be themselves. That’s exactly why we created ANCHOR.
As pediatric occupational therapists (and yes, huge believers in the power of play), we’ve spent years helping children navigate big emotions, friendships, sensory needs, and all the ups and downs that come with growing up. We’ve also spent just as much time getting to know the amazing families behind those children.
We know it can feel vulnerable to sign your child up for something new. We don’t take that trust lightly.
When your child walks through our doors, we want them to feel like they’re walking into a place where they’re known, celebrated, and excited to come back each week. We want you to feel that way, too.
We can’t wait to meet your family.

Every child deserves the opportunity to feel successful in a group setting. ANCHOR groups are intentionally small, thoughtfully matched, and led by pediatric occupational therapists who understand sensory processing, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and social development. We adapt activities to the needs of the children in the room, creating an environment where relationships come first and every child has the opportunity to participate in a way that feels safe and meaningful.
